On a recent trip to the Low Country I had a chance to taste and photograph some amazing food. Some of these pictures were taken at Husk Restaurant while lunching with my pals Holly Herrick and Nathalie DuPree. The others were taken at a Barn Raising hosted by Lowndes Grove Plantation on the Ashley River.
Every January I get to do one of my favorite jobs. I am the photographer for the Waimea Ocean Film Festival. It is 12 days of great films and lots of activities related to the ocean, environment and nature. Here are pictures of just some of the awesome food we got to taste.
From the Fairmont Orchid’s Luana Lounge Dessert Tapas Menu, this incredible tart has a macadamia nut crust and melt in your mouth filling of caramel and chocolate. The orange sections make a delicious sweet and perky combination with the dark dense chocolate. Even the arugula micro greens and the viola on the Chantilly Cream were an amazing pairing of flavors
